"If you wish to reach the many and help,

then go to where many gather and talk then listen."

Hope for Heather has been at the NY State Fair since 2009. It was among the first events Hope for Heather ever held, and it is now one of the longest running events for the organization. The NY State Fair has become one of the most important events for Hope for Heather and ovarian cancer awareness.  During the two-week duration of the fair, the sole focus is to reach out and speak to the public. Every year we reach tens of thousands of fair attendees, handing out free educational information, materials, and teal ribbons made by local volunteer groups. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible to raise ovarian cancer awareness, provide information, and start the conversation. We are there to talk and answer questions but most importantly to listen.

Our booth at the NY State Fair is completely staffed by volunteers. Some of our staff includes cancer survivors and healthcare workers who can provide deeper insight on awareness, symptoms, treatment, and local support. All of our volunteers are knowledgeable and have been impacted in some way by this disease.

"Without a Test Awareness is Best"

Our volunteers have raised over $500,000 for ovarian cancer education and awareness through annual events and educational activities.

Together we have distributed over 500,000 awareness ribbons and ovarian cancer symptom cards plus 50,000 educational brochures and flyers to increase awareness on the early symptoms and key risks to improve the overall health of the CNY community. All of our awareness ribbons are made by church and civic volunteers.

SPONSORS

A very special thank you to our event sponsors! We are grateful for your dedication to our organization and the community.

We invite your business to be a HOPE sponsor for our annual Hope Booth at the NY State Fair.  Hope for Heather is a 501c3 non-profit that is dedicated to raising funds for ovarian cancer research, awareness and education, and support for local ovarian cancer patients.

How can you help?  Hope sponsorships are $100.  Your donation will honor our survivors and help us to cherish the memory of the fallen.

Your business name will be listed on booth signage on the fair day you select for sponsorship. You can supply volunteers wearing your branded shirts on this day; showing your companies' community involvement and support. Note: NYS Fair rules do not allow direct promotion of your company by setting up sales appointments or distributing business cards.
