|Heather's Angel Fund December 5, 2013 Syr. - Hope for Heather, Ovarian Cancer Alliance of CNY, updates Heather's Angel Fund grant, at the New Upstate Cancer Center. H4H donated another $5,000 toward their pledged $25,000 for patients and family members to cover extra costs of treatment, not covered by medical insurance: meal vouchers, parking, personal care, gas card. President Frieda Weeks with Gary Weeks presented the check to Toni Gary and Terry Toscano Shenfeld of the Foundation for Upstate Medical University

Nov 16, 2013 Hope for Heather presented a check to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to help fund select 2013 research grants. Frieda Weeks President & Board Chairman Jesse Irwin present a check to Audra Moran and Jon Zeidman. The money raised in CNY will support researchers under review at this time. Research projects chosen will support the mission of Hope for Heather by advancing early detection, inproved treatment methods, discoveries that may lead to a cure for Ovarian Cancer.
Ribbons Color NY State Fair
9/06/2013 - Hope for Heather (H4H) volunteers manned two booths (one in the Art & Home Building, the second in the Hall of Health) at the 2013 NY State Fair to spread Ovarian Cancer Awareness. The H4H volunteers distributed over 45,000 TEAL colored ribbons with the companion wallet sized symptom cards. The attendance at the fair was down about 10% from 2012 or about 851,000 this year.
