Ribbons Color NY State Fair
9/06/2011 - Hope for Heather (H4H) volunteers worked in groups of two, four, or ten to create a massive 30,000 TEAL colored ribbons to help spread Ovarian Cancer Awareness to the almost 1,000,000 NY State Fair attendees. The TEAL Ribbon awareness project is made possible through a grant from Macy's. Teams of Hope for Heather volunteers staffed the H4H both in the Art and Home (Newtimes Theater & Empire Room) building. This effort reached a pinacle on Friday September 2, 2011 when the team and the nation celebrated National Wear Teal Day. Thousands stopped at the booth and got your FREE TEAL ribbon and symptom card for themselves or a loved one.
